What is in Cardio Booster?

Cardio Booster combines micronutrients such as magnesium, potassium and hawthorn extract which support normal heart function. It contains:

• Co-enzyme q10. Closely-related to vitamin K, coenzyme Q10 (coQ10) is found throughout the body (hence its other name ‘ubiquinone’ from ‘ubiquitous’). It’s essential for all physiological processes that require energy expenditure, and is unsurprisingly abundant in the heart.
• A dry hawthorn extract, standardised to 5% flavones. This plant extract, held in high regard by doctors in ancient Greece, is widely recognised today for supporting cardiovascular function. Scientific studies validating its use have highlighted its ability to normalise cardiac contraction, and circulation and oxygenation of the heart (1).
• Magnesium. Though mainly present in the teeth and bones, magnesium is active in every cell in the body. It is particularly important for relaxing the muscles in general, giving it a key role in regulating heart rate and muscle relaxation.
• Potassium. Like magnesium, is essential for muscle contraction and good cardiac muscle function. It also helps to maintain normal blood pressure.
• Vitamin B12. It plays a role in countless cellular and physiological mechanisms, but its main benefit in this supplement is its ability to normalise the formation of blood cells.

Alongside this supplementation, we recommend adopting the following measures to help take care of your heart:

• Set aside time during the day to release any built-up tension (by taking exercise, pursuing hobbies, relaxing, deep breathing …)
• Try to reduce any excess fat around the abdomen as this kind of visceral fat poses a greater risk to the heart. Ideally, the waistline should measure no more than 94cm for men and 80cm for women
• Pay attention to your diet, reducing in particular, your intake of saturated fats and sugars.
